Scholarship Information
Starting in the 2025-2026 season, we are excited to launch our new team scholarship program! This program will reduce the state registration fee for new teams to $125 for their first two seasons. We know that start-up costs for new teams can be a major hindrance to participation, and we hope that by reducing this cost, it will ease part of the financial burden and let you focus more on growing your team.
Qualification Details
The FIRST Robotics national database will be used to determine team eligibility. Teams are eligible for this scholarship if they meet at least ONE of the following qualifications:
- A school/organization that has never had a FIRST LEGO League Challenge team
- A school/organization that has a team that has been inactive for more than 3 seasons. Teams that have not participated since the 2021/2022 season are eligible to receive this scholarship for the 2025/2026 season.
Funding Restrictions
- A school/organization may only receive one scholarship per year. For example, if you meet one of the eligibility requirements above and elect to start a second team, that team will pay the full state registration fee.
- A school/organization that already has an established team is not eligible to receive this scholarship to start any additional teams.
- A school/organization that already has an established team, but has a new lead coach, is not eligible.
